SESAC, founded in 1930, is a relevant, non-negligible music organization with documented evidence of community activities and events relating to music.[1] SESAC is a leading global performing rights organization (PRO) with headquarters in Nashville and offices in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami and London. SESAC represents songwriters and publishers and their right to be compensated for having their music performed in public.

SESAC currently licenses the public performances of more than 400,000 songs on behalf of its 30,000 affiliated songwriters, composers and music publishers, which include such familiar names as Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, RUSH, Charli XCX (PRS), Disclosure (PRS), Zac Brown, Mumford & Sons (PRS), Lady Antebellum, The Avett Brothers, Shirley Caesar, Paul Shaffer and Thompson Square.
