For over 25 years, David Hazan has conceived and executed strategic partnerships and entertainment marketing campaigns for his entertainment, digital, and brand clients such as theBizmo, Mobile Backstage, GigsWiz, AEG, TVT, Muze, Shout! Factory and Fearless Entertainment.
David’s extensive music marketing experience includes senior positions leading digital distributor The Orchard, Warner Music, MTV Networks, Universal Music Group, and Wind-up Records, where, as Executive VP of Sales and Marketing, he strategized and oversaw the marketing, touring and release campaigns for multi-platinum Grammy winners Evanescence. David directed all sales, marketing, touring, internet, and PR plans for platinum acts including Creed, Seether, and Finger 11.
While Senior VP Marketing Universal Classics Group, David oversaw the marketing and touring plans for classical artists ranging from Luciano Pavarotti to Renee Fleming to Andrea Bocelli; crossover artists from Bond to Russell Watson to Andre Rieu to ElvisCostello; soundtracks for Broadway musicals and films such as Mamma Mia and Gladiator; and the PBS special and campaign for Donny Osmond.
As Senior VP Marketing for Putumayo World Music, David created marketing partnerships with American Express, Timothy’s World Coffee, Louisiana Office of Tourism and major music and cultural festivals throughout North America from Harbourfront to Central Park Summerstage to Stern Grove. He launched the label with distribution deals in over 50 countries around the world and also co-developed and sold all sponsorships for The Putumayo World Music Hour, a weekly radio show broadcast on over 150 stations around the world.
